Life gave us some sour grapes,
We shared them though old or new.
Sometimes I wiped your moist eyes,
Sometimes it was you.
Life made us wiser,
Together we learnt slowly as we grew,
Sometimes you let me learn faster,
Sometimes wisdom from you I drew.
Life gave us fleeting smiles,
We multiplied them with a few.
Sometimes you were happier than I was,
Sometimes we both felt blue.
Life made us tougher,
We fought the rains that were due.
Sometimes you got drenched to keep me dry,
Sometimes I was the first in queue.
Life introduced us to many faces,
A handful distinct amongst the crew.
Sometimes we spoke our hearts out,
Sometimes even in silence we knew.
Eternally etched will remain these sometimes we together brew.
